Mission Statement
The Woggler with its attachments and accessories have been designed to develop "CORE HARMONY™ . CORE HARMONY™ expresses the healthy, functional performance of a totally fit body. The concept begins with core strength and its relationship to the vestibular and proprioceptive systems for balance along with strength development and agility for joint motion. When constructing harmony musically, harmony does not happen when a single dissonant tone interrupts the blending of the total chord. In similar fashion body function and performance depend on the harmony of the total body.
Our products and concepts are designed to train conjunctively and concurrently many facets of body performance. The WOGGLER™ program is unique in many ways. For example, there are different products that attempt to build balance in a stationary position. These products begin with instability and “dump you in all directions.” In real life balance begins with stability as you stand on the floor and balance is primarily challenged with motion and weight transfer as you move. This is exactly how the WOGGLER™ works, beginning with stability and challenging balance with motion and weight transfer as you walk. We provide a variety of attachments and accessories to enhance body performance and “CORE HARMONY™. The formula for “CORE HARMONY™ simply stated:
Strength + Balance + Agility = Control
This is CORE HARMONY™
Strength
Core Strength
It has long been studied and appreciated by various organizations, including Mayo Clinic, that your core body---which is the musculature surrounding your spine, your scapula (shoulder blades), your pelvis, your lower back, your hips and your abdomen---determine how your body performs. Core development is paramount to wellness and fitness. The core is the main link in the circuitry of the body between the brain and movement. When the core body is weak it does not matter how strong the rest of the body becomes, the brain will not allow the body to perform beyond the strength of the core.
Joint & Limb Strength
The term ‘body building’ in the minds of many alludes as much to a buff, tight physical appearance as it does to total body strength. One can appear physically strong, while overlooking the fundamental weaknesses that result in poor body performance. It is important that muscles and tendons be addressed in all areas of the body relative to motion (ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, arms, etc). However these are maximized only when developed concurrently with core strength and balance.
Balance
Vestibular and Proprioceptive Development
The vestibular system is related to our innate sense of balance and is very closely linked to our visual and proprioceptive systems. A single word to express this system is balance. Body performance depends greatly on a good sense of balance. Motion constantly requires compensation during weight transfer. The vestibular system is a means of equilibrium during movement in its simplest form and can be developed to execute the most complex of athletic requirements. It is important to realize that the vestibular system can and must be developed and enhanced. This is valuable both in a rehab setting and in all sports related activities. To be strong in one’s muscles, tendons and joints, as well as your core body, and not have strength of balance, is to render many of the demands of body movement and performance weak and maybe impossible.
The vestibular system works closely with your visual and proprioceptive systems. The proprioceptive system communicates with body parts and the brain, telling the brain where the body parts are and what they are doing. The proprioceptive system innately communicates to what extent pressure and strength is to be applied in all areas of motion. Visual perception serves as an integral part in the compiling of necessary information to the proprioceptive system as it communicates with the brain and determines how one should properly execute the demands of various movements while the vestibular maintains equilibrium.
Agility
Agility maximizes the benefits of strength and balance by creating a flexibility that goes beyond the body’s normal patterns of movement. Agility also is a feature of athletic performance that is developed. Such issues as the range of motion within the joints and limbs as well as trunk rotation do not just happen. They are trained.
Conclusion
The Woggler™ and Woggle Gym Products accomplish CORE HARMONY™ naturally through the experience of movements that the Woggler™ imposes. For example, walking the Woggler causes a reciprocal, twisting motion in your core body that goes beyond normal walking movement. This brings STRENGTH to your core body. At the same time the movement that the Woggler creates stretches ankles and knees in a rocking, twisting motion in a way that brings strength and wellness to lower extremity joints. When consciously exaggerating the movements of the arms and shoulders while walking, the same reciprocal motion affects the upper extremities concurrently with the core body and lower extremities. At the same time walking the Woggler trains the vestibular and proprioceptive systems BALANCE, while dealing with motion and weight transfer. The stretching, twisting, reciprocal experiences on all of the body parts simultaneously work to increase AGILITY. The Woggle Gym attachments and accessories are designed to target and amplify benefits to meet specific needs.
Our curriculum includes tools that independently maximize STRENGTH, BALANCE and AGILITY by targeting specific muscle groups and special needs. It is, however, our objective to use the innate abilities that the Woggler has to blend concurrently all that is necessary to accomplish the performance of a totally fit body.
Our mission is to bring to the world CORE HARMONY™ for fitness and wellness by providing quality curriculums and products at an affordable price.
