Benefits
- Our commitment – motivating youth to become interested in fitness is not
an easy task. Our attempt for accomplishing this task is threefold.
- First: We provide a curriculum that speaks their language and utilizes
colorful diagrams.
- Second: The Woggler relates to a skateboard in their minds,
consequently it is “cool” in their culture. The attachments and
accessories are of exciting, vibrant colors.
- Third: Our exercises are fun and challenging while accomplishing
fitness through the concurrent development of strength, balance, and
agility for control. We call this CORE HARMONY.
Our commitment is to a
constant pursuit of finding ways to communicate and relate with youth so
as to excite them with a fitness program that will benefit them throughout
their entire lives.
- Core Strength and Stabilization – Your core body is the musculature
surrounding your spine, your scapula (shoulder blades), your pelvis, your
lower back, your hips and abdomen. It has been long studied and appreciated
by various institutions including Mayo Clinic that your core body determines
your body performs. Core development is paramount to wellness and fitness
and is the main link between in the circuitry of the body between the brain
and movement. Our “core” exercises are second to none.
- Sensory integration – Two senses of the body that have had comparatively
less attention are our sense of motion (our vestibular system) and muscle
awareness (proprioceptive system). These together with our visual perception
make up the tripod for functional balance. Nancy Green, founder of Brain
Highways, a clinic that works with children who have ADD, ADHD, ASM or
autism, states that “children who have poor vestibular and proprioceptive
processing often have difficulty with reading, writing, attention, and
coordination”. The Woggler is unique for its method of developing and
training balance.
- Many states require a P.E. program for the recognition of your
home-school. We provide you with a program that has been developed to
satisfy this requirement.
- It is fun for the whole family. The benefits of the Woggle Gym program
reach far beyond the kids and P.E. class. Dad, Mom, Family, and Friends,
will not only enjoy the benefits of the Woggle Gym program, but will have
hours of tremendous fun, pleasure and competitive challenge.

HomeSchool Enrichment Magazine Review by Frank Lewis,
Editor

"Hey, homeschoolers! Would you like a complete homeschool
Physical Education class that not only builds agility and core strength but,
also, is the most fun any person has a right to have while exercising? If
you answered YES, then you need the Woggler!
I kid you not, Mom and Dad. The Woggler is fantastic. Our
family has used treadmills, rowing machines and cycling machines for
exercise, but the WOGGLER outshines them all. We’ve NEVER had this much fun
exercising.
Imagine your children being able to strengthen all of their
inner core muscles and, at the same time, work on their coordination and
agility. Plus, as this is being accomplished, the right-brain, left-brain
activity is sharpened and strengthened, leading to heightened learning
ability. The Woggler actually does all this in a new, fun-to-use way. Plus,
coming soon, a complete homeschool curriculum will be available that will
explain the core muscles and their importance to overall health, discussing
core harmony (strength + balance + agility = control), right brain/left
brain activity, and more, all with illustrations. If health, agility,
coordination, strength, and heightened learning abilities are important for
your family, then I don’t see how you can miss with the Woggler. You and
your kids will LOVE it. The Woggler is great fun, with great results. It’s a
sure-fire winner!"

The Old Schoolhouse Magazine Review by Lisa Barthuly:

“The Woggler encourages fun, while developing and strengthening muscle,
cardio, and the best medicine, laughter! There are designed games for the
Woggler, (Check out the Rings Game) but you could easily make up some of
your own, too. Racing against an opponent would be fun as well.
If you have children who are working on strengthening exercises, for
rehabilitation, or sports, or have a child who has a learning challenge, The
Woggler may be just right for your family. We’ve really enjoyed the Woggler
as part of our physical education time. It is geared for 8 year olds and up,
but our 7 year old has been using it, (as well as Mom & Dad) with big
smiles! (It could easily be mistaken for a GREAT TOY, too!) I give it a
definite thumbs UP!!”

Brain Highways Review by Nancy Green

The Woggler helps develop the vestibular and proprioceptive
systems. First, the child needs to figure out how to shift his or her body
weight in order to get the Woggler to move. Second, the child must stay
balanced on the Woggler when lifting it as he or she move forward or
backwards. Good vestibular and proprioceptive processing makes this
possible.
We use the Woggler as part of the Brain Highways program. While the
program includes a myriad of apparatus that stimulate the vestibular and
proprioceptive system, the Woggler is a favorite among parents and children.
Child participants are immediately motivated to try to get the Woggler to
move. Since many children in the program cannot initially do so (due to poor
vestibular and proprioceptive processing), the Woggler also often marks
improvement of such sensory system when the child can now maneuver it across
the room! The Woggler is also popular because it is smaller than many other
pieces of vestibular and proprioceptive equipment, making it easy to store
at home or in the classroom.
Since all sensory information first
passes through the vestibular system, it can be considered the boss of
sensory processing. The vestibular system is additionally related to our
innate sense of balance and acts as a “tripod” for our visual system.
The proprioceptive system tells us where our body parts are and what they
are doing—even when we are not looking at such parts. The proprioceptive
system also helps us innately know how much pressure to use (e.g. to hold a
pencil) and when to quickly make an appropriate body shift (e.g. while
bending down to pick up a piece of paper) in order to retain
balance.
Children who have poor vestibular and proprioceptive processing
often have difficulty with reading, writing, attention, and
coordination.
