STABILIZING RODS


HOW TO USE THE STABILIZING RODS

See Video Clip.

To begin:

  1. After proper attachment has been made, grasp the handles and step on the Woggler™ with your feet positioned according to mounting instructions. When your feet are placed outside of the pivot point of the bearing, make your first attempt to walk the Woggler™ and acquaint yourself with the timing and balance that it takes to make the device work.
  2. Incorporate the use of the Woggler™ Rug when you are comfortable and acquainted with the use of the Stabilizing Rods.
  3. When you have learned to master the demands of the patterns on the Woggler™ Rug, remove the Stabilizing Rods and begin at a new level.

Benefits

ASSISTS APPREHENSIONS DUE TO BALANCE ISSUES. This attachment is designed to assist persons whose balance may not be at a level to use the Woggler™ aside from helps. The Stabilizing Rods bring a sense of stability and control to the special needs associated with very poor balance. You might consider this attachment as "training wheels" for taking a low level of balance to a higher level.

ASSISTS APPREHENSIONS DUE TO INJURY. During Rehab the same principles assist those with ankle or knee injuries. The Woggler Stabilizing Rods and Woggler Rug used concurrently changes monotonous protocol to fun and challenging games. Visual cues on the Woggler Rug help both therapist and patient realize progress and achievement.


WOGGLE ROD


HOW TO USE THE WOGGLE ROD


Grasp the handles of the Woggle Rod. Mount the Woggler and proceed with the exercises illustrated in the picture above or in the curriculum. The DVD clips on the website also illustrate the use of the Woggle Rod.

Benefits

There are three benefits illustrated in the picture above.

  1. Neutral Spine—Holding the Woggle Rod over your head while walking the Woggler forces an equalization to both sides of the body that encourages neutral spine
  2. Thoracic Spine and Core Stretching and Strengthening
  3. Stretching and Strengthening affects the shoulders in different ways by using the Woggler Rod behind your shoulders or help in front of you.
  4. Body Bonding rigidly connects the upper body while the Woggler rigidly connects the lower body creating an intrinsic bond between right and left sides to stimulate both hemispheres of the brain to enhance neuro-muscular coordination.
